Melbourne International Comedy Festival presents
Festival Club
Synopsis
Come one, come all to the best-kept secret of the Comedy Festival.
Those ‘in the know’ swear by the Club as the place where the Festival’s rogue heart beats. It’s a subterranean, late night hangout that sees both comedians and fans alike letting their hair down without fear of formality. This results in random acts of spontaneity, unrepeatable performances and a grassroots vibe that’s comedy through and through.
For six nights every week (closed Mondays) over the course of the Comedy Festival, the Club plays host to a rolling schedule of acts that continue well into the wee hours having wheedled out the less committed of comedy fans.
Who may appear in the Club nobody’s entirely sure, but you can prep yourself for surprises of the most welcomed kind. It’s cheap, it’s open for everyone, it’s there… It’s the greatest unplanned laugh you’ll ever have.
Get into the Club and get a feel for what the true spirit of comedy is all about.
