The Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala raises comedy to the rank of awards-show razzle-dazzle – but where the television cameras are not so focused on gowns and wags as they are on grins and giving.
In an effort to help the good folk at Oxfam Australia, a glitterati line-up of local and international comedians donate their time and jokes so everyone can enjoy that warm fuzzy feeling. Seats go faster than a game of musical chairs, making the Gala one of the most sought-after tickets in town.
