Russell McGilton - Accidents are Prohibited on this Road
Synopsis
From the man that brought you the award-winning show Bombay to Beijing by Bicycle comes Russell McGilton's comic travel tales in Accidents are Prohibited on this Road - the not-so-Lonely Planet guide of missed adventures, wrong turns, broken thongs and sex in different time zones.
From being humped by a gorilla in the Congo, parasailing with vultures in Nepal, conceiving a child in town called Ded-dick, being stalked by a foley artist, discovering a connection between global warming and anal bleaching, to the horrors of being unable to escape that wretched new form of widescreen television, ADD TV.
A misadventure not to miss.
Directed by Alice Bishop (The Sheryls and many other comic masterpieces).
Bombay to Beijing by Bicycle won the George Fairfax Playwright Award and was performed at the 2005 Melbourne Fringe, the 2006 Melbourne Comedy Festival and at the Edinburgh Festival in 2008.
