The Bedroom Philosopher makes a Rocky Balboa comeback with extra services of his award winning 2009 show. Last year's cancelled season became stuff of legend after a bike stack on the 86 line left the BP with a broken humerus. Irony 1 BP 0. Fortunately this unique concept album of a show is back on the rails, fuelled by the Director's Choice award and a recent sell-out season at Melbourne Fringe.
Songs From The 86 Tram has charmed critics and audience alike by demonstrating The Bedroom Philosopher's gifted acting range. Through song he portrays nearly every colour in the community rainbow, from a fame obsessed hipster to Sudanese refugee, vague grandmother and sleazy tram inspector. Songs From The 86 Tram is an unplugged we-are-tramily tribute to one of the cities most iconic beats loaded with caustic wit and surprising empathy.
The Bedroom Philosopher owns the genre clash of inventive guitarist, adept actor and fiercely clever comedian. He is set to release the studio album of Songs From The 86 Tram, including 'Northcote (So Hungover)' as playlisted on Triple J. As Justin Heazlewood he is a senior writer for Frankie magazine, hosts Triple R sketch comedy show 'Lime Champions' and spent last year being John Safran in ABC's 'Race Relations.'

Reviews
"“I implore, nay insist, that you see this quintessentially Melbourne show as soon as you can: it's as close to perfect a comedy production as I've ever seen.” **** 1/2"
Richard Watts, SmartArts, RRR.
""We’ve previously called the quirkily tweedy Bedroom Philosopher ‘the Jarvis Cocker of stand-up’; and you can almost certainly add elements of The Kinks’ Ray Davies and, almost inevitably, Flight Of the Conchords to the mix.""
Steve Bennett, Chortle.
""There’s a fabulous blend of inspiring musical talent, adroit writing, and some of the best acting talent you’re likely to see at a show of this ilk.""
Simonne Michelle-Wells, Australian Stage Online.
""I love it when comedians do this. I love it when they produce shows that prove conclusively that comedy is an art form, and that, as an art form, it can scale great heights.""
Annette Slattery, The Groggy Squirrel.
