Melbourne International Comedy Festival presents
Tim Key - The Slutcracker (UK)
Synopsis
Extra Show Just Announced! - Saturday 17th April 10.50pm. Tickets On Sale Now!
Winner of the “Oscars of Comedy” – Edinburgh Comedy Award 2009
Melbourne debut
Tim Key serves up a confused procession of idiosyncratic poetry and prose. Brittle poems, inspired lists and loony set-pieces are cobbled together into a precarious, highly inventive performance.
Key (34) has recently had a suit tailored for him in Shanghai. He arrives in Australia looking as smart as hell with a show that is charming, sharp and suitable both for sluts and regular civilians.
Writer/star of BBC4 comedies Cowards and We Need Answers, Radio 4’s All Bar Luke and author of 25 Poems, 3 Recipes and 32 Other Suggestions (An Inventory).
“Meticulously written and performed shambles… One of the funniest, most off-the-wall and imaginative shows.” The Stage, UK
“Inept pretension has never been so endearing.” Metro, UK
“He’s a genius plain and simple.” Time Out, London
