Tim McIntyre - Honesty
As kids we were brutally honest, but somewhere along the way we learned the art of the gentle untruth. We now lie like sleeping dogs, to save face, to advance ourselves, to protect others and often in order to achieve that elusive act of consensual sex. In meetings, in advertisements, in job interviews and when on trial for murder; humans constantly engage in bending the actual, at the expense of the factual.
But another thing we learned is how to write hit and miss poetry.
Tim McIntyre makes use of these two most dubious habits in his show Honesty, where he examines the pros and cons of saying it like it is, through the prose and poetry of the English language. Can he be believed, or does even he deceive?
This show is a must for those wishing to reduce their jargon footprint.
