Irish Comedian of the Year 2010
Winner Edinburgh Comedy Award 2008
Nominee Barry Award 2007
The 1990 East Leinster under-14s triple jump bronze medallist and current number one ranked person called ‘David O'Doherty’ on Google returns with a small piano and a brand new show.
Somewhere Over the David O'Doherty opened at the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe where it received five-star reviews. It deals with, among other things, bicycles, Shakira and the idea of happiness.
Uplifting! Hilarious! Surprising! Profound! Really, really stupid! At the very least, it will be some of these things.
Just so you know, David’s plans for the next year are:
1. Write the greatest comedy show ever.
2. Write the greatest television show ever.
3. Write a new children's book.
4.Master and defeat life and death.
“He is routinely the funniest thing at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.” The Scene
“A tiny keyboard and a giant talent.” The List (UK)
“A national treasure.” The Irish Times
