He’s as cool as a cucumber – and he’s got a right to be, goddammit, because he’s a former writer of Saturday Night Live and scribe of the latest season of 30 Rock.
In recent times, Hannibal Buress has crawled from behind his computer to strike a presence in front of the cameras. He’s appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and will crop up in the upcoming documentary The Awkward Kings of Comedy with Marina Franklin (also at the Comedy Festival).
“If Steven Wright, Mos Def and Dave Chappelle had a baby, that would be disgusting, but it would sound like Hannibal Buress. The funniest young comic I’ve seen in years.” Chris Rock
“This year, Hannibal Buress left Saturday Night Live to write for 30 Rock. More importantly, he left his stand-up peers in the dust, crossing into a new level of comfort and skill. It’s possible he’ll one day be a legend.” Time Out New York
