Review by Cathy Culliver
As one half of the mime duo Umbilical Brothers, he conquered the comedy world. But as a solo stand up act, Shane Dundas still has a little way to go. It’s not that he doesn’t have the ability, it’s more that he seems to lack confidence as a solo performer. His material could have also been a lot stronger, as it just didn’t seem to go anywhere.
But I have to give him credit for sticking to his guns and not just resorting to the impressive catalogue of sound effects he is so well known for (OK, a few slipped out, but that was part of the joke). A brave attempt at a solo stand up show, and I’m sure he’ll only go from strength to strength, but this time it just didn’t really hit the mark.
