Review by Jonathan Graham
Geekward, or perhaps gawkward, best describes the oddball family unit that is Lessons with Luis.
Len is the embarrassing father figure many of us have had to deal with, as he boasts about his sons achievements through his bad combover.
Luelin is the silent, broody younger brother who is annoyed at being part of his brothers success.
And Luis is the nervous/awkward host of this dream sequence that is his trip to Famoucity (Hollywood parody) to become the most famous person in the world via his homemade movie.
The show itself feels like a string of 'Dad jokes', linked together with groans and guffaws. There is a clever use of technology (and deliberately dodgy looking video footage) that provides plenty of laughs.
The show mightn't be to everyone's liking, but it's a humourous leap from the traditional standup shows.
