Melbourne International Comedy Festival proudly presents

Max and Ivan Are Con Artists (UK)

Winners Edinburgh Comedy Award Panel Prize 2011

An epic narrative sketch comedy heist debut from the UK’s Max and Ivan.

Six ex-cons, one final job. The Hacker. The Smooth Talker. The Mercenary. The Driver. The Architect. And Graham (he does HR, mainly). All are reunited by the Ringleader to conduct one final sting - taking down a sinister oligarch. If we told you any more, we'd have to kill you. Luckily, that's more or less the plot.

Max and Ivan are Max Olesker (taller, curly-haired, a bit Jewish and a bit more foppish) and Ivan Gonzalez (shorter, knitwear fan, formerly chubby). In 2011 they won the Edinburgh Comedy Award Panel Prize for their smash hit show The Wrestling.

Now they are bringing their 2012 Edinburgh sell-out to Australia. Directed by Jessica Ransom (Horrible Histories, Doc Martin), don’t miss the duo GQ Magazine called "undeniably superstars of tomorrow".

"Hugely ambitious and impressive." The Guardian
