Russell McGilton Bombay To Beijing By Bicycle

Winner George Fairfax Playwright Award 2003

The award-winning sell-out show of Melbourne Fringe, Melbourne Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe is back!

‘Congratulations. You are having the malaria.’

And so begins Russell McGiltons comic adventure as he attempt to cycle from Bombay to Beijing in the quest of writing his travel opus. He rides, he falls, he gets chased by wild dogs, fights off malarial hallucinations and finds himself caught between choosing the love of his life or the possessive attentions of his journal.

Based on his actual journey, Russell morphs between 15 characters to tell this hilarious take on India. It’s Bollywood packed into one man!
