The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health
What happens when you get a bunch of comedians and musicians and combine them with some of Melbourne’s smartest brain researchers?
Come along and hear some terrified neuroscientists tackle life’s big issues at Melbourne’s first ever meeting of minds that is known around the world as The Bright Club, the thinking person’s variety night.
Jim Bell from the UK Bristol Bright Club and comedian Catherine Deveny have been training-up some of Melbourne’s brightest neuroscientists to talk hilariously about the things they study, work on or know about. They’re not famous, most haven’t been on TV – but they’re brilliant at telling stories about stuff they know.
Described as a “bubble of anarchy” whenever the scientists take to the stage, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival is set to experience a night of chaos and laughs – at the brainy end of the spectrum.
Attendance guarantees you’ll leave smarter than you were before you arrived.http://www.florey.edu.au
