Melbourne International Comedy Festival proudly presents
Exclusive to Melbourne
Ruby Wax, the legendary writer, comedienne, interviewer and documentary-maker will bring her acerbic, honest humour to the Festival for the very first time.
At some point in our lives, one in four of us will be affected by mental illness…bring three friends!
In this hilarious and sometimes dark show Ruby Wax, from the point of view of the one in four, discusses the toxins of our time – envy, fame, television, the insatiable drive to win, getting rich, getting the perfect body, marriage, kids, career and, above al,l staying busy while looking like you're having a nice day. This is why we all, at one point in our lives, feel like we're about to go under or in Ruby's case, fall off a cliff.
Ruby Wax is a household name, known for collaborations with Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders on French & Saunders and Absolutely Fabulous, as well as TV shows Girls on Top, The Ruby Wax Show and her infamous (and unforgettable) interviews with celebrities such as Pamela Anderson, Sarah Ferguson Duchess of York, Eddie Izzard, Boy George and Liza Minnelli, among many others.
Nine shows only!
