Melbourne International Comedy Festival proudly presents

Rubberbandits (IRL)

Irish YouTube sensations, the Rubberbandits are unleashing their riotous rhymes on unsuspecting Melbourne crowds. With sold-out shows from New York to London and a Chortle award under their belts, now these urban plastic-bag-heads from Limerick make their Comedy Festival debut with their hilarious comedy rave.

Their satirical hit single "Horse Outside" became a global hit with more than 10 million views on YouTube, with follow ups "Roisin, I Wanna Fight Your Father" and "Blackman" showing that these boys were no one-trick ponies.

Fresh from their award-winning Edinburgh Fringe season (Chortle Best Musical Comedy 2012, Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality 2012), Rubberbandits are bringing 'feral funk' to the Festival.

"Subversive genius…this is a big phat funny hour from a trio carved from the funnybone of Ireland. ★★★★" The Scotsman

"With sold beats and a sweet turn of rhythm, this would be a fine gig in itself; add the rapping and hilarious comedy and you have yourself a spectacle. ★★★★★" ThreeWeeks (UK)

NB: This is a standing room only performance. No seats – they want you up on your feet!
