Review by Elise Faulkner
Liam Ryan is terribly indecisive, but it wasn't always that way. In The Hedge, Ryan examines his indecisiveness and the impact it has had on his life. The result is a hilarious hour of storytelling.
Ryan himself is very charismatic on stage. He refers to his audience as friends and connects in a way that makes you feel as though you really are. His friendly, conversational tone keeps the material even more engaging as he tells of being mugged in Paris, getting married, and dressing up for book week in grade 1. He breaks the storytelling rhythm to read one sentence openers to short stories that he has started but never progressed.
The Hedge is a really strong show and Ryan is a talent to watch. Check out the show while you can.
