Review by Elise Faulkner
Paul Foot is incredibly lively on stage, his eccentric persona immediately connecting with the audience. He enters the stage and talks the crowd through what we're about to witness; there'll be some talk of racism, there'll be about 4.5 minutes of random sentences where people are laughing but no one knows why, and there will be some 'disturbances'.
The political sections of the show, such as the comments on homophobia and racism, are surprisingly insightful and are very well integrated with the absurdism and slapstick elements.
Words was a lot of fun to watch and is a very rewarding show for people who know what they're in for with Paul Foot.
