Review by Mika Tsoi
I like to see shows with as few preconceptions as possible, but there is the promise of an autopsy in the title of this one. Instead of tense expositional scenes between CSIs amongst the blood and bodily organs, Portanza does a semi-deconstruction of a festival show through silly character work. With a show this heavy on audience participation, how it is on any particular night will depend on the crowd; it must have gone well on this night, because Portanza convinced a rather nervous man to kiss him. If you don't think it went well, or even if you did, you get to hit him with a pool noodle regardless. A bunch of fun: approach with an open mind for best results.
