Review by Mika Tsoi
Gadsby critiques her own promotional photos, before moving onto bigger targets like selfies and Obama, before bowing before Putin, the master. Along the way, she displays the strength of her art history knowledge by applying the same eye to renaissance portraiture. Her polished awkward charm finds the tensions inherent in presenting yourself to the world and that's where Gadsby mines the both smart laughs and the juvenile ones. If NASA's PowerPoint was this funny and informative, maybe they would have gone into comedy.
