The 29th Melbourne International Comedy Festival will take place from 25 March to 19 April 2015.
RAW Comedy gigs will take place in capital cities between January and April 2015. The Roadshow takes place across the country between May and July each year following the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Comedy does happen all year round and, although the Festival doesn't run gigs outside of our events, you should check out local comedy rooms that might be running tonight.
The full 2015 line up will be released in February next year, but you can check out the 2014 line up right here.
A copy of the Program Guide will be available inside the Herald Sun on the day we launch the guide. Program Guides will also be available from Ticketmaster outlets and selected cafes, theatres and bars after this date. Unfortunately, we are unable to mail out Program Guides to metropolitan Melbourne. We can only send programs to people living in regional Victoria and interstate who were unable to get the copy in the Herald Sun. These people can request a copy by emailing email@example.com after the Guide is released.
Tickets to most Comedy Festival events will become available once the 2015 program has been launched. You can purchase your tickets through this website or through Ticketmaster - either by phoning 1300 660 013 or by visiting a Ticketmaster outlet near you.

Where can I park in the City?
If you're driving into the CBD to see a show Secure Parking offer an amazing deal of $3 Weekend and Evening Parking for Comedy Festival patrons. Visit secureparking.com.au to find our how to redeem.
The Gala is the Comedy Festival's most popular event and often sells out within hours of tickets going on sale. The best way to get tickets is to join our mailing list to be the first to find out exactly when and where the Gala goes on sale. Due to the popularity of the Gala, and its status as a fundraising event for Oxfam, we do not set aside tickets for corporate sales.
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival has contacts for all the comedians who appear at the Festival but the question of who is best for your event can be a really tricky one. We recommend you have a look at past Festival programs and, if you want to contact someone in particular, let us know. Otherwise, email us and we can put you in touch with some good booking agents in your area.
Most shows are not age restricted and those that are will be listed as such in the Program Guide. As we don't know how your children will react, or what you feel is appropriate for them, it is difficult for us to recommend particular shows. Please be aware, however, that comedy shows can contain course language, nudity or "blue" themes. Our best advice is to browse the Program Guide and reviews to gauge the content of shows.
It is possible for patrons under 18 to get into licensed venues (such as the The Hi- Fi) provided they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Each year's Festival program will feature a Kids' section highlighting the best comedy for ages 0 - 12. This does not mean that kid's comedy won't appeal to all age groups. The Festival also has a Family comedy, with shows that are suitable for all the family.
Late night mayhem at The Hi-Fi. Check out the Festival Club listing on the online program for more information.
Refunds are only issued according to the Australian Entertainment Industry Association's Ticketing Code of Practice. Refunds are only issued if:
For a full copy of the Code, go to www.aeia.org.au. If you feel that you are entitled to a refund, please contact the Comedy Festival office in writing, addressing all communication to the General Manager. The final decision on refunds is made by the producer of the show. If ask us about a refund is for such a show, we will communicate your request to that show's producer.
If you know your friends or family love comedy but you don't know what show they'd like to see you can buy them a Comedy Festival gift voucher. Available in amounts of $20, $50 or $100, the vouchers can be purchased and the shows chosen later - they're redeemable for events sold through Ticketmaster and at the Melbourne Town Hall (but NOT the Gala) and they will be valid until the end of the 2015 Festival.
Please note: gift vouchers will not go on sale until later this year.
We cannot guarantee that you will be admitted to a show if you are running late. It will depend largely on whether an appropriate break in the performance will allow for latecomers and if the performer and front of house staff are comfortable admitting you. As a general rule, most Comedy Festival shows are only an hour long so the best advice is to have your car parked and your tickets picked up well in advance of a show's advertised start time.
