Marnie Allen & Ella Bennett
Slumber Party Time Travel
Imagine a Scorsese-directed Mean Girls starring Tim and Eric with boobs. You’re probably thinking, ‘great, but where’s the John Hughes element?’
COP THIS: It’s 1988, Evelyn and Candice return from senior prom. Their night was a disaster, and they want retribution. Before their chance to spill blood, a time-travelling altruistic rat intervenes, aiming to give them some perspective. Between scores of suffragettes and dystopian fast food employees, the girls learn a lesson – even if it’s not what the rat intended.
Consisting of Marnie Allen and Ella Bennett, Slow Loris – two blondes who share an inability to be serious – will make their Melbourne Comedy Festival debut. This isn’t amateur hour, though: the show only runs 55 minutes.
Slumber Party Time Travel has been described by its writers as "a balls-out romance with the self" and "unnecessarily cruel". You have to see it to know what we mean. http://slowlorisau.wordpress.comhttp://www.facebook.com/slowlorisau
