We are recruiting a Social Media Coordinator to join the Melbourne International Comedy Festival team!
The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for management and delivery of the Festival’s social media activity. In collaboration with the Marketing team the Social Media Coordinator will take a leading role in developing and implementing campaigns that support the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s digital marketing objectives, engaging and growing the Festival’s social communities.
The role involves an audience retention and acquisition focus with an emphasis on electronic and web-based initiatives – including all social media platforms and website content management.
Melbourne International Comedy Festival is one of the three largest comedy festivals in the world and one of Australia’s largest cultural events. The Festival sells in excess of 550,000 tickets annually and generates more than $16 million in box office. Aggregate attendance including free performances is 770,000 people and the live audience numbers are boosted by an additional 5 million viewers for the nationally broadcast TV specials.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in connecting and engaging the huge online community of audiences and artists at one of Australia’s most loved events!
The successful candidate will commence in the week beginning 9 January 2017.
