In 2015, Mitch fulfilled a lifelong dream to tour internationally with a death metal band (that rah-rah screamy music). From starting circle pits and climbing speaker stacks in China, to Monday night Drum & Bass clubs in Japan, the trip was as eye opening and life affirming as it could be for a cynical Gen Y arts graduate.
Who could’ve guessed language barriers don’t matter while you’re screaming incoherently? Who could’ve seen that 2am street food in Wuhan was going to be dodgy? Who knows what country his drummer is still lost in? Why is everyone racist?
“A charming performer who commands the stage with confidence” (Squirrel Comedy), Mitch Alexander has a ruthless new hour of comedy about what he saw (airports, mostly), who he met (no one important) and what he learned (very little).
