Funny Makes You Feel Good  - A Comedy Handbook is freely available to teachers. Fill in your contact details below to access the link.

These notes provide a chirpy overview of comedy in history and various comic genres, as a way into a series of extensive discussions about how to help your students write good comedy. Updated in 2015 by Arts Education Consultant Meg Upton, they provide a wealth of historical information, research activities and performance tasks to help students write, analyse and create good comedy. The resources also outline how comedy can help meet the needs of the national curriculum for English in language, literature and literacy.
