Producers and artists wishing to present overseas artists in the Festival should contact the Festival Director before commencing negotiations as different conditions apply. Email info@comedyfestival.com.au
What is a Festival Managed Venue and how do I get to perform my show in one?
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival manages the programming in a number of venues in the Melbourne Town Hall precinct.
Any show interested in rental of one of these Festival Managed Venues must make an application to info@comedyfestival.com.au
The application should consist of a one-page proposal detailing show description, budget outline, marketing strategy and venues of interest. Supporting material, including DVD footage, reviews and previous artwork, may also be submitted.
Programming decisions regarding Festival Managed Venues are finalised before the close of registrations and applications should be made by early, date TBC. As these spaces are obviously limited and in great demand, producers are strongly advised to research alternate venues as a backup.
If you have any questions about securing a venue, please call the Festival office (03) 9417 7711.
Where and to whom do I send my information?
All information can be sent to the Festival office. For any specific enquiries or for further information, please contact the Artist and Program Coordinator via info@comedyfestival.com.au
