BIG KICK OFF - APRIL FOOL'S DAY

our FREE Big Laugh Out program.
Featuring the exclusive Melbourne premiere of Japan's
leading street theatre duo GAMARJOBAT.
They've made people cry with laughter from Thailand
to India, Edinburgh to France, and back home to
Tokyo. Don't miss their debut performance, part
of a showcase of the best local and overseas acts
at the Festival. |

FRIDAY NIGHTS
Laugh off the working week from 5.30pm with surprise roving performances.
Then the 4 Noels are back where they belong at the Comedy Festival, helping you and the crowd create your own great comedy. It starts with a favourite comic genre – from sci-fi to musical or porno (maybe not a porno -bit cold). You create the characters, the scenes and the laughs.
Interactive, unpredictable and exciting, you’ll be back each Friday for a new show. After that we unleash an eclectic mix of handpicked performances in a comedy cabaret showcase, hosted by your favourite homegrown comedians. |
SATURDAY AFTERNOONS
Offering a taste of all that the Festival has to offer, we present a different show for all the family on Saturday afternoons from 2pm. Bring a cushion, grab a drink and a good spot - you won’t be going anywhere for the next few hours (if it rains bring a tarp). |

THE COMEDY CHANNEL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL
Short Film Festival Competition Screening
A program of shorts from over 200 entries will be screened in the Square on the last Friday night of the Festival. A panel of celebrities and film industry experts pick their winners and have your say in the People’s Choice Award. Don’t miss this night of comedy on film, provided free for your viewing pleasure.
