La Mama presents

The First Step on a Tram is Hell

Enter the demented worlds of Bill Rawlings and Edith Wise. This no-holds-barred revelation of ageing and aged care, skilfully manipulated, devastatingly mishandled by the alter egos of the supremo of Australian comedy, wild card - Sue Ingleton! Her world-renown stretches from the Edinburgh Fringe, Montreal's Just for Laughs and right into healthy Asian nightclubs.

Bill is caring for an aged Mother - is she his?
Inside every older lady is a younger lady - wondering what the hell happened.
Edith (her mind not only wanders, it leaves completely) recalls speed-dating for seniors - the quick and the dead, the bits of her husband they wouldn't cremate, her plans for prepaid funerals.

The chaos is rescued by the final arrival of Sue who has Stories from the Heart of a Dutiful Daughter to relate.

There will be singing. There may be dancing.
Audience involvement is, unfortunately, guaranteed. So many jokes - so little time. Die laughing!
