Fiona Scott-Norman
The Needle and the Damage Done

This a show about music. Specifically, the mesmerisingly bad records lovingly collected by DJ, satirist and comedian Fiona Scott-Norman over a lifetime.

A passionate homage to the joy of wrong, The Needle and The Damage Done features records put out by, amongst others, John Laws, Torvill & Dean, Bernard King, some misguided AFL footy players, Christians, racists and Christian racists, to name but a few*.

A joyous romp and dissection of car crash bad popular culture, this show raises (and answers) some important questions.

What IS the number one worst album ever released?

Which Aussie TV icon's album caused an actual riot when played one night at a Fitzroy pub?

Can Torvill & Dean sing?**

Directed by Paul McCarthy

*Also includes Dean Martin's hilarious date rape song
**No, not at all
