Deadly Funny Grand Final  

Saturday 21 April, 5pm

Presented by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival

On Saturday 21st April at the Melbourne Town Hall, the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Island Stand-Up comedy competition - Deadly Funny, went off!

Competitors Mia Stanton, Shiralee Hood, Darren Parker, Greg Fryer, Josie Atkinson, Allirra Edwards and Max McGuire competed to become Victoria’s inaugural Deadly Funny Champion. The amazing Sean Choolburra whom is one of the best Indigenous performers in Australia hosted the evening. All competitors were fantastic giving the judges a tough job in announcing an overall winner.

Congratulations to all competitors with Mia Stanton becoming the first Deadly Funny champion receiving a deadly trophy and $1,000. Shiralee Hood and Darren Parker come in as joint runners up.

Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander comedy is alive and well with over 260 punters laughing there MOOM off! Congratulations to all involved.
