A good show. Not the greatest show I saw on the night but a good effort with original songs, artwork, jokes and a clever take on the process of performer-audience interaction: they are on a date. And, based on Baggas’ nervousness – the near-constant fiddling with the mike stand was a distraction – I’m assuming this is just a first date. Audience participation in the date is rewarded with a gift of chocolates and several of us got a hug as we left the venue so, just like with any relationship, the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. Oh, and both men and women are welcome on this date! Baggas’ ambiguous sexuality throughout the show just adds to the charm: she begins the show by talking about her boyfriend, uses the more ambiguous pronoun ‘they’ to talk about subsequent partners, and finishes off with a sexy song about a woman with a lisp.
