Barb and Fran also work together in an "intercultural communication and training company" they own. They have just finished writing a 620,000 word encyclopaedia of Asian sociology, and are massively getting into Melbourne's cultural life after living in the US for nearly ten years.

Like an episode of Thank God You’re Here constructed around a Scrabble game played by the #2 player in Queensland and a comedian whose name I didn’t catch. The host chose random words from the Scrabble game and a troupe of one woman and four men acted them out. Clearly all five of the improv performers are skilled in their craft. But it also seemed clear that they’d cheated on the improv format when the host manipulated the Scrabble board at the end to make a word to match a song they’d prepared. Much of the audience appreciated the creativity of the improv but I was more bemused than amused throughout the hour.
