Willis’ show got off to a great start with lots of funny punch lines and skillful working of the crowd. Things were going well by any standard when suddenly, out of nowhere, he got a heckler who was so completely out of step with the rest of the crowd it was truly baffling. He handled it like a consummate professional, refusing to go negative or lower the tone. Unruffled, though puzzled, he engaged with her till he won her over and elevated himself even higher in the estimation of the crowd. This was a moment to be proud of Dan Willis.
