Sydney-based improvisers Edan Lacey and Nick O'Donnell form the comedy duo of Pumpernickel and Wry, who present their Melbourne International Comedy Festival debut, Eine Kleine Story Time ( A Little Bit of Story Time).
Hans and Otto, the stars of the 2006 Sydney University Architecture Revue, are two German gargoyles who have been cemented together by fate for seven centuries. Suffice to say, the gamut of ordinary conversation has been well and truly exhausted.
All that remains are stories: cobbled together from their imagination, others' misinformation and exacerbated by the insane cooings of a Maltese pigeon named Rodolfo, played by the indispensable Max Rapley.
The struggles of the Quebec Liberation Front, the longings of two Japanese school girls and the desire of a baby made of mould to gain his father's love are some of the outlandish scenarios explored by the three performers.
Eine Kleine Story Time is the hilarious telling of these tales.
