Australia lost Brendon Burns to the UK over a decade ago, but he's back for the Festival and giving Melbourne audiences a chance to experience one of the greatest stand-ups working in the world today.
At the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Brendon appeared alongside Adam Hills and Sammy J in s stage version of Breaker Morant, by the Comedians' Theatre Company which was directed by comedian Phil Nichol to critical acclaim. Brendon also won the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival's if.comedy award (formerly the Perrier Award) for his show So I Suppose This Is Offensive Now.
"Wisecracks are fine for a few minutes but they soon grate. The stand-ups who can hold your attention for an hour or more are those brave enough to tell you what they really feel; and the modern master of this autobiographical genre is Brendon Burns *****" The Guardian.
