A Preamble is a ballad to the hopeless, a homage to procrastinators and a celebration of daydreamers everywhere. The most spectacular show ever made is about to start...if only she could get the lights to work.
This comic tale is the long awaited solo work from The Caravan of Love's Eva Johansen. A work that utilizes a myriad of comic influences such as vaudeville, silent film, mime and slapstick. Through clever manipulation and the wry commentary she is famous for, Eva subverts these conventions to create a theatrical style that is entirely her own.
"An original balance of clown and ingenue, she effortlessly switches from slapstick routine to heat-breaking, room-silencing song." AussieTheatre.com
