Bite Me! is the first show from Yana Alana, a new performance poet with a female-centric outlook. Her virtuosic and long-suffering band, Tha Paranas, subjected to Yana's need for total control, are forced to perform obscure party tricks. Audiences can expect tantrums, the hurling of targeted abuse, divine singing, acrobatic dancing and explicit lyrics.
Nominated for seven Greenroom awards in 2007, winner of Best Director - Cabaret, Bite Me! also won the Cabaret Award at the 2007 Melbourne Fringe. Yana Alana is the alter-ego of Sarah Ward, also known as MC Sheila from SistaShe.
The show will run 60 minutes with no interval.
