Melbourne International Comedy Festival proudly presents

Josie Long Something Better (UK)

"This is a show about trying to be hopeful when the world is, quite frankly, being a total arsehole. A silly, optimistic show about politics. There's also a bit about necklaces that I think is really good."

Three-time Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and the "David Bowie of stand-up" (Nish Kumar) Josie Long returns to Australia, eternally optimistic and as engaging as ever. While heartbroken at the state of the world Josie is introspective and enthusiastic, a positive political rabble-rouser in the face of uncertain times.

Josie has appeared across the UK’s BBC, Channel 4, Comedy Central and Radio 4. She is also a regular contributor to online source ‘The Incomplete Map of the Cosmic Genome’, alongside leading scientists and comedians including Stephen Fry, Professor Brian Cox, Robin Ince and Ross Noble.

‘Optimism queen brings big laughs… it is hard to resist her zest for life. ★★★★' Evening Standard (UK)
