His observational style and natural charisma landed Azeem his own Amazon Prime stand-up special, the first of few Indian comics to do so. As a member of the popular comedy collective ‘East India Comedy’, Azeem is a (reluctant) youth icon who often finds himself in the selfies of teenagers.

‘Effortlessly likeable.’ The Hindu Times

Also appearing in The Indian All-Stars Comedy Showcase

Hannan Azlan (Malaysia): In a few short years on the comedy scene Hannan Azlan has made serious waves. Within six months of first taking to the stage Hannan was performing on television, and went on to become the youngest winner of the Hong Kong International Comedy Competition. With her clever songs, unique voice and electric stage presence Hannan skewers all manner of subjects from race to religion.

‘Exceptional comic timing and remarkable intuition.’ Voice UK

‘Can spark a fit of laughter with every word he utters.’ Times of India

Prakash Daniel (Malaysia): In 2012 ardent comedy fan Prakash Daniel thought he’d take things one step further, stepping onto the stage and never looking back. He hosted Comedy Central’s Stand Up Asia in 2017, with his insightful observations and effervescent personality proving him a natural on screen. He has since performed around Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore, and is a regular at the Crackhouse Comedy Club in Kuala Lumpur, South East Asia’s first comedy club.

Takashi Waka (Japan): Born and raised in Japan, a young Takashi Waka headed to Sydney to study, attended his first stand-up performance and fell in love. Before long he was performing regularly at the Sydney Comedy Store and the rest is history. Stuck in a chasm between Japanese and Western culture, Waka started an English speaking comedy night in his home town of Osaka. Waka brings a fresh perspective on Aussie life, and retells stories of Japan that will have you both fascinated and roaring with laughter
