Melbourne International Comedy Festival in association with Soho Theatre London proudly presents

Natalie Palamides Laid (USA)

Winner Best Newcomer 2017 Edinburgh Comedy Awards

Laying an egg every day, a woman faces the decision: raise it or eat it? In her Australian debut LA-based comedian Natalie Palamides explores motherhood with absurd dilemmas, silly routines and surreal physical comedy.

An Upright Citizens’ Brigade performer and voice of Buttercup in The Powerpuff Girls, Natalie is an actress, comedian and writer who took out the Best Newcomer gong at the 2017 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. She brings her playful and cunning character to life in the madness that is Laid – a melodrama of yolks, shells and funerals.

‘An unforgettably visceral experience. ★★★★½'  Chortle (UK)

‘A solo show that's so absurd and funny, it might almost be in a unique category of its own.' The Comedy Bureau (USA)

Co-devised and directed by Barry & Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner Doctor Brown.

Warning: This performance contains the use of raw and cooked eggs. Patrons with allergies to eggs are advised not to attend.

Performances on the 17 to 22 April have been cancelled
