Time to show the world what you’ve got!

It’s that time of year again! We're putting the call out to Australia, trekking around to every corner of our nation to find the country's freshest and funniest! Our Class Clowns, RAW Comedy and Deadly Funny competitions are officially underway... and we want YOU!

By entering you could win a trip to Melbourne to perform with us at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, plus some cash, or perhaps a trip to Edinburgh. Come on Australia, show us what you’ve got!
 

DEADLY FUNNY

Cheeky and loud, black and proud, Deadly Funny is Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s national comedy competition unearthing the freshest and funniest Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander talent from across the country. Local heats for the 2019 competition have started, continuing through early 2019. Each show also features a star-studded comedy line-up of Australia’s best Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander comedians.

RAW COMEDY

Are you ready to take the jump? Launch into LOLs with RAW Comedy, Australia’s largest and most prestigious open mic comedy competition!

For over 20 years RAW Comedy has seen performers ride that comedy wave, with past competitors including Hannah Gadsby, Ronny Chieng, Celia Pacquola, Anne Edmonds, Luke McGregor and Sam Simmons.

Class Clowns is Melbourne International Comedy Festival's development program for young people around the country.
