A bit of a contradiction, but still very entertaining indeed, the mild-mannered but sometimes hard-edged Phil Wang turns in a rather fetching set about his bi-racialness, the difficulty of relationships and being oh-so-old old at twenty-nine.
Dazzling at times, puzzling at others, this is a thoughtful show as much about the role of the comedian as it is about comedy itself, and Wang's natural charisma leaches off the stage in waves, making much of the little things and then minimizing big things in the oddest of ways.
An enormous talent who is only getting better with experience, and this a show well worth the seeing.
