Zainab Johnson

Zainab Johnson is a multi-talented stand-up comedian, actress and writer, drawing inspiration from her distinct perspective moulded by her upbringing in Harlem as one of 13 siblings in a black Muslim family. Despite earning a degree in Education and Mathematics and initially embarking on a teaching career, Zainab swiftly discovered her true calling, steering her towards the world of comedy.

Zainab is a series regular on the Amazon Original hit series UPLOAD, co-hosts Netflix’s 100 Humans and her comedy special Hijabs Off premiered on Amazon Prime Video last year. She has performed at Montreal’s Just for Laughs Comedy Festival first as a New Face of Comedy, then as one of Variety’s Top 10 Comics to Watch.
