Barnie Juancan Tap Head

Barnie Juancan Tap Head

Winner Best Comedy 2018 Adelaide Fringe

Winner Fringe Genius Award 2015 Edinburgh Fringe

Barnie Duncan – the brain behind Juan Vesuvius, and half of the brains behind last year's Adelaide Fringe Best Comedy Award-winning show Different Party – returns to Melbourne  International Comedy Festival with a brand-new show.

Part stand-up comedy, part surreal theatre, Tap Head explores the life of a lonely tap who works in a public toilet in Fairfield Park, a tap who also frequents open mic nights to test out his jokes. Spliced together with actual stand-up from non-tap Barnie Juancan, Tap Head celebrates anthropomorphism, amateur comedy nights and empathy with gleeful absurdity.

Directed by Katy Maudlin, with Sound Design by Daniel Nixon.

'Duncan has created a magical experience.' Squirrel Comedy

'Deserving of comedy superstar status.' Broadway Baby (UK)

'A master at subverting expectations.' Theatreview (NZ)
