The Butterfly Club presents

Improv Theatre Sydney A Streetcar Named Hot Tin Menagerie

Following a sold out season at the 2019 Sydney Fringe Festival, Improv Theatre Sydney creates a new one-act play in the style of the great American playwright Tennessee Williams live onstage every night.

Based off a single audience suggestion, they'll weave a complex web of tragedy, intrigue and romance, with characters driven to drink and doomed to make impossible choices they may regret for the rest of their days. Grab yourself a mint julep, sit back and be transported to the baking heat of a sultry Louisiana night.

Improv Theatre Sydney is one of Australia's premier improvised theatre companies. ITS Ensemble members are regulars in national and international comedy festivals and have collective resumes that include Sydney Theatre Company, Belvoir St Theatre, Griffin Theatre Company, The Chaser, Tonightly and Whose Line Is It Anyway Australia.

---

"The Improv Theatre Sydney team delivered a fast paced and cohesive long form improvisation that felt true to a Tennessee Williams play without mocking or parodying it...the ensemble built palpable trust between each other which allowed close and intimate relationships to flourish anew on stage each evening" (Theatre Travels)
