If you've ever sat through a child's play, dance recital or choir performance, then you'll understand the need to lie to someone about what a "good" job they did. But what if they're adults and should know better? How do you tell someone you love that they shouldn't be proud of their original one-act play?
This original one-act play, written by American heartthrob* Richard Mealey, showcases the very real struggle that audience members have after watching a flaming piece of garbage and then being forced to talk to their friends and family afterwards.
Whoever coined the phrase "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all", clearly never had a friend in community theatre.
