Goldilocks is the audience experience of meeting three fierce bears... who just happen to be three emerging female comic talents. These three unique bears are Urvi Majumdar in her 20s; Amy Harkin in her 30s and Sheryl Cardozo in her 40s, hailing from the mean streets of Kolkata, Melbourne and New York, and raised, respectively as Hindu, Catholic and Jewish.
The three bears will offer something for locks of all colours and ages as they come together to celebrate their differences. They invite you to join them on a night that will nourish like a big bowl of porridge, as they provide a comedy experience that is not too hot, not too cold… but just right!
Urvi Majumdar is a 2018 and 2019 RAW Comedy Victorian State Finalist. She has performed to sold-out crowds at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Melbourne Fringe and Melbourne Writers’ Festival. In 2019 Urvi was selected for the inaugural Stand Up! grant, awarded by Melbourne International Comedy Festival in collaboration with Premier Daniel Andrews. You can see her in the upcoming Channel 9 comedy mini-series Metrosexual and in numerous Hot Dads sketches. She has had several guest spots on 3CR Radio and is a regular writer for Channel 10’s The Project.
Amy Harkin really likes telling jokes and impersonating New Yorkers. She was a 2017 RAW Comedy Victorian State Finalist and still reckons she’s pretty funny. Amy is a marriage celebrant who has dabbled in community theatre and likes to sing to anyone who will listen. She plays the ukulele terribly and has outstanding table tennis skills, FYI.
Sheryl Cardozo is a native New Yorker who followed a backpacker to Melbourne and stayed for seven years. In 2012 she became a dual citizen, thinking it seemed like it would be cool to have a second passport, like a famous fourth cousin or a tongue that could roll into a clover thing. But now… she’s just glad to have a plan B for America.
Until the apocalypse, she currently resides in Manhattan with that same Australian backpacker and their daughter, and performs around New York City at clubs such as Dangerfield’s, The Comedy Cellar, and Greenwich Village Comedy Club. She loves to discuss all the adventures her lady parts have had, from the parties to the pap smears, and from miscarriages to mommy-hood, shedding light on being premenopausal as a preschool mum.
