Much-loved cartoonist Judy Horacek presents a cartoon slideshow of pointy feminism, environmental catastrophe, terrible puns and more. Judy’s been trying to solve the problems of the world through pithy cartoons for decades. She acknowledges it hasn’t worked. Come along to laugh, and maybe cry.
Along with her career highlight of creating Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s swirly girl logo (2019 & 2020), Judy is the creator of about a million cartoons including ‘Woman with Altitude’, and co-creator of Where is the Green Sheep? read to small children a billion times. For many years her cartoons appeared regularly in The Age.
Judy believes the world would be a better place if we were all nicer to each other, and also if we could destroy the right-wing conservative agenda. Now the cartoonist comes out from her (very messy) studio and into the world (also very messy) in her first ever live Festival show.
