Catherine is Canadian; she was raised to be polite. But then she moved to Australia and learned to say f*%k. Sorry. Not sorry. But still a little bit sorry.
Self-described as a beaver mixed with a quokka and a sloth, Catherine is bubbly and a bit crude. But she can be vicious. She’ll throw her kids at you. And then take a nap.
With a silly style of stand-up that’ll have you in stitches, Catherine delivers a delightful debut solo show about rejecting expectations and serving up some sh*t.
The emergency nurse turned comedian is a mum to two young children and a chronic illness warrior. She battles a rare autoimmune disease called dermatomyositis that no one can pronounce. The doctors tell her she’s one in 100,000, but she likes to tell people one in a million. Audiences think so too.
In her spare time, Catherine loves long walks on the beach. Ok, short walks. Ok, the beach is visible on her laptop screensaver… in her lounge room, where she sits with air con, chocolate and Netflix.
After a cracking start at Hobart’s Fringe at the Edge of the World and Melbourne Fringe, Catherine can’t wait to bring Please and Thank Yous to the 2020 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
