Carla Wills & Urvi Majumdar Sassive Aggressive

Straight off the back of a sold out Melbourne Comedy Festival run with Sass Attack in 2019, Sassive Aggressive delivers an hour of non-stop laughs from two of Melbourne’s most unapologetic up-and-coming comedians – Carla Wills and Urvi Majumdar.

If misery loves company, you’re amongst good friends as Carla and Urvi reunite to conquer the world with their wit and wild humour. It’s Ab Fab for the new generation, as two of Melbourne’s finest comedians team up for the second time for an hour of twisted hilarity where cynicism reigns supreme.

Sassive Aggressive is here to push boundaries with signature style. The jokes are as anecdotal as they are ridiculous, as understated as they are oversharing. If you’re cool, sick of BS and ready to cackle, come and be sassive aggressive with two of Melbourne’s strongest comic voices.

Since the girls were handpicked in 2019 for the inaugural Standup! Grant, chosen by Melbourne International Comedy Festival in conjunction with Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews, they’ve been extremely busy, working tirelessly to perfect their craft... all for you! You’re welcome!

Urvi Majumdar is a 2018 and 2019 RAW Comedy Victorian State Finalist. She has performed to sold out crowds at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Melbourne Fringe and Melbourne Writers’ Festival. You can see Urvi in the new Channel 9 comedy mini-series Metrosexual and in numerous Hot Dads sketches. She has had several guest spots on 3CR Radio and is a regular writer for Channel 10’s The Project.

Carla Wills is a 2017 RAW Comedy National Finalist and winner of the Adelaide Comedy Festival’s Best Newcomer award. Her 2018 Adelaide Fringe show Good Wills Huntley earned a five-star review and welcomed sold out crowds. This year Carla has performed to sold out crowds at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, hosted the huge Adelaide Winter Comfest and was handpicked to perform at the prestigious triple j Good Az Friday show. She is also a regular presenter on 3RRR radio.

'These women were engaging, funny and in all their sass, still managed to come across as warm and charming. They are the kind of women you want in your life, and definitely the kind of women you want to see at a comedy festival show.' Pop Culture-y

'Majumdar’s tales of growing up with a unique name and being the non-favourite sibling left many audience members cackling in agreement!' RMITV

'Exactly the sort of show I'd been waiting for.' The Adelaide Show

'The future of comedy is in good hands.' The Plus Ones
