Bob Franklin Sir Robert's Sporting Legends

Sir Robert's Sporting Legends

Bob Franklin Sir Robert's Sporting Legends

When Sir Robert is engaged to speak at a fundraising dinner for the newly reformed Shane Warne Foundation, the organisers are expecting the usual reverent platitudes. What they get is something altogether more uncomfortable.

Multi-award-winning comic, Bob Franklin, returns with a darkly comic commentary on the dubious collusion of sport, media, showbiz and money in Australia today.

Bob's work has been described thus:

'Razor sharp subversive social commentary.' The Scene

'Choc full of clever wordplay and well-constructed jokes.' The Age

'Like an ancient alchemist, Franklin knows how to blend comedy and the weird in just the right amounts.' Herald Sun

'n this brilliantly executed piece of theatre, Franklin manages to expertly walk the line between reality and fiction.' The Live Review
